His DRUDDIGON needed plenty of time to sharpen his hunting and combat skills. Without it, it would start shedding its scales too frequently. Those scales were important for defense and cosmetic reasons.

Today, Remiel Calcifet had the dragon prowling the forests of ROUTE 110. Rumour had it that this place was filled with powerful FIGHTING-TYPE POKEMON who could put his Druddigon's defense to the test. There was also plenty of avian Pokémon around to snack on, should the dragon wish to quell its hunger.

To see the brutish dragon chasing after a BUTTERFREE in the sky was almost cute. But it could go twice as high as the Druddigon could leap. So, confident it would survive, it continued to play games with the dragon a while longer.

It underestimated what frustration could accomplish, however. With a terrifying grunt, the Druddigon summons its SUPERPOWER before launching itself upward with greater force than before. It leaves a crater in its wake after the launch, then slams the Butterfree down so hard that capturing it is as simple as half-heartedly tossing an empty ball.
